 There are some stages in life when we are not what we are. Certain events may precipitate a change of personality or behavior. Victor just happens to find himself in the eye of a hurricane — a hurricane of his own making. Poor financial choices have crippled his family’s fortunes, and Victor feels deeply responsible. Self-doubt, a lack of confidence and a general sense of worthlessness are not traits he’s normally accustomed to, and it’s even more painful for him to wallow in such misery. Such a defeated attitude does not make life easier for his wife, Eve, and his daughter, Kim, and this realization ironically exacerbates his condition. Victor has clearly dug himself into a hole, and he knows he has to get out... if he can only — somehow — alleviate his psychological anguish. |
